Two and Three Dimensional Slope Stability Analysis of Tailings Dams

Objectives

This one-day short course will present and discuss advanced topics related to 3D slope stability analysis areas. The primary focus will be on the conceptual design of 3D numerical models and the subsequent solution / analysis. Several applications of 3D analysis for real-world problems will be presented, focusing on advanced considerations for the modeling of earth dams used for TMFs.

Who should attend

The course is designed for technical participants who would like to gain a general and advanced understanding of the current state of the start of 3D slope stability analysis of TMF earth dams, taking advantage of the experience of the instructors in the analysis and design of mining structures particularly in mountainous terrains, which have been successfully applied in several projects in Peru and other countries.
