Alex Doll completed his Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Mining and Mineral Process Engineering at the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada. He worked for eight years with the Fluor Daniel EPCM company on projects in Canada, the United States, Australia and Chile. He became an independent consultant in 2000 and has since spent time as a process engineer in the Canadian oilsands industry on the massive Albian Sands and CNRL Horizon projects, as a study engineer on Pebble copper porphyry project in Alaska and as a subcontractor to a respected comminution consultant. Alex is currently based in Logan Lake, Canada.
Alex has a heavy computer programming background and has been actively developing websites since the late 1990's. He started building the SAGMILLING.COM website when he became a consultant in 2000 and has been steadily adding capability “behind the scenes” with the goal of offering a Bond work index based platform for doing mill sizing and throughput estimates.
