Arturo Alba García is an Industrial Civil Engineer, and Civil Mining Engineer, specialising in Extractive Metallurgy, and has a Master’s in Operations Research from the Universidad de Chile (1986). He completed postgraduate studies at the Universidad Católica de Lovaina, the Wharton Business School at the University of Pennsylvania and at APG Senior Amana Key in Sao Paulo. He also has more than 20 years of academic experience at the Universidad de Chile and thr Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez. Additionally, Arturo Alba has more than 25 years of experience in executive roles such as General Manager, Business Director and Strategic Consultant for multinational and Chilean companies in the technology, retail, and banking sectors.
He has developed his career by leading the implementation of new, dynamic businesses, generating private and institutional capital investments, working with the fusion and integration of companies and the redesign and transformation of businesses with an emphasis on strategy, processes and systems. He has also undertaken complex negotiations with providers and global clients in businesses such as Telefónica, Entel, Microsoft Chile, Quintec, Banco Sud Americano and ENAMI. Currently he is a Professor at the Centre for Innovation in Mining and at the Centre for Executive Education at the Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez where he teaches courses in Strategic Management and Operations Management. Additionally, he is an Associate Consultant at Companion Consulting, Director at Micrológica Innovation, Director of Investments for the Penta Group Foundation, and Director of the Sociedad Minera Incahuasi.
