He has vast experience in metallurgical processes, metallurgical simulation development for new or operating plants, equipment measurement and evaluation, mass balance, plant audit and data reconciliation for metallurgical plants, and the development and evaluation of metallurgical programs, among others.

Mr. Fuentes worked closely on developing large mine projects in Peru, examples include: Marcobre; where he worked on the development of the metallurgical program, conceptual phase and pre-feasibility studies, Constancia; in the development of the metallurgical program and material balance, Condenstable; gas dispersion measurement in flotation plants of Zinc and Lead, Río Tinto; La Granja project, and Anglo American; Michiquillay project, etc.
Fuentes has coauthored many technical publications for specialized congresses such as “Simulation in dynamic and steady states: A comparative study and its applications for metallurgy” at the 6th International Symposium on Metallurgy: Mineralurgia 2008, and “Predicting the performance of flotation circuits using a process simulator” at Procemin 2006; among others.

César Fuentes is actively involved in the sale and training of several process simulation programs in steady state, mainly in Limn®, JKSimMet and JKMultiBal. Recently, he has given training sessions for Limn® in several mine units and educational institutions in Peru and throughout the rest of South America, such as Antamina (Peru), Multotec (Chile), Vale (Brazil), and the Universidad Nacional de Ingeniería (Peru), among other prestigious institutions.
