Dr. Jordi Guimerà is a Geologist from the Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona and a Doctor of Applied Sciences (Geology) from the Universidad Politécnica de Cataluña. Dr. Jordi Guimerà has worked professionally since 1984 in consulting companies and as a doctorate, post-doctorate and professor at the Escuela de Ingenieros de Caminos de Barcelona, 1988-1998.
Dr. Guimerà has worked in multiple developing lines: soil sciences; nitrogenous compound transfer; low permeability environment (media) hydrogeology; soil pollution for industrial activities; aquifer management models; water integral management; groundwater impact in civil works; and mass transference models in different sector aquifers such as mining.
Dr. Guimerà’s career is reflected in 14 articles published in international journals, 80 contributions to conferences and congresses, and as an author of 6 chapters in books. Nowadays, as a partner of Amphos 21 group, he directs the mining department in the Santiago, Lima and Barcelona Headquarters.
