Michel Brissette completed his bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and his Master’s degree in Metallurgy at the École Polytechnique of Montreal in Quebec, Canada. He worked five years with Magotteaux Canada doing technical support in grinding for the iron ore mining industry. He spent three years at Nova PB to commission a new pyrometallurgical process recycling hazardous waste from the aluminium industry. In 2006, he came back in the mining industry with Wheelabrator Allevard where he decreased the energy consumption of regrind mills by 20% to 60% with the use of small steel grinding media called Millpebs. In 2010, he joined SGS to design and forecast grinding circuits in the area of Geometallurgy.
