José Mauricio Gómez Jauregui is an Anthropologist and has a Master’s in Rural Development from the Universidad Austral, Chile, a certificate in Social, Cultural, and Economic rights of Indigenous Communities as well as in Right to Food from the Henry Dunant Latin America Foundation and the FAO. Moreover, he has Masters courses in Regional Integration and Sustainable Development from RUK, Denmark.
Gómez has participated in the course surrounding the 169 collective regarding indigenous communities by the ILO at the Universidad de Chile. He has also advised and participated in research and projects for mining companies such as Cerro Colorado, Xstrata Norte, Lomas Bayas and the El Morro project. Additionally he has advised the supplier company ARAMARK in the same manner.
Currently Gómez is a lecturer on Community Management for the Management of Mining Companies certificate program at the Peruvian Association of Management Co and the Universidad de Antofagasta, Chile.
