Prof. Paul Williams

Paul Williams, Principal BSc (Civil Engineering) Hons, Imperial College, London, 1963; City and Guilds Institute Associate; Institution of Civil Engineers Member; Australian Geomechanics Society Member; Institution of Engineers Australia (IEAUST) Fellow; Australasian Institute of Mining and Metallurgy Fellow.

Mr. Williams hasover 30 years of experience in a wide variety of geotechnical dams and tailings projects and the management of professional consulting staff to carry out site investigations, foundations and ground improvement, hydrogeological studies, water resource infrastructure, tailings disposal, pavement design, geotechnical construction, grouting, retaining walls and slope stabilization, landfill and waste disposal.

Mr. Williams’ work history includes positions with Golder Associates Ltd., Cementation Company Ltd. Australia, Commonwealth Department of Works, and Binnie and Partners· Bauxite (red mud).

In 1981 Mr. Williams established MPA Williams and Associates, later re-named as Australian Tailings Consultants and currently known as ATC Williams, to provide an independent geotechnical and civil consulting engineering service to the construction and mining industries.
